The Terrace Restaurant’ Gets Prestigious HACCP Certification

The Terrace Restaurant – Ajman, the popular multi-cuisine restaurant operated by the Hospitality Division of Thumbay Group UAE has won the internationally acclaimed HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) certification, which is accredited by the Dubai Accreditation Center (DAC). With this achievement, The Terrace joins the privileged network of HACCP certified restaurants in Ajman with demonstrated standards of quality and hygiene.

Mr. Mathew John, Business Development Manager – Middle East & Africa of the British Standards International (BSI) awarded the HACCP certificate to Ms. Neetha C, Food Quality Controller and HACCP team leader of The Terrace Restaurant on Wednesday – 13th April 2016, in the presence of Mr. Farhad C, Director of the Hospitality Division of Thumbay Group and other members of the administrative team of the restaurant. The certifying body noted that The Terrace had successfully implemented HACCP standards in “the receiving, storage, food preparation in main central kitchen, transportation and service.”

“The HACCP certification earned by The Terrace Restaurant demonstrates our commitment to maintain safe and hazard-free standards in food production and serving. The established internal processes and our strong customer-focus took us smoothly through the strict audit processes,” said Mr. Farhad C. “This is a proud moment for us and this motivates us to excel further in our standards of service,” he added.

HACCP is a preventative food safety management system in which every step in the manufacture, storage and distribution of a food product is analyzed for microbiological, physical and chemical hazards, making sure that the food is safe for consumption. The HACCP scheme meets the requirements of the Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC) established by the World Health Organization and the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) of the United Nations to bring together international food standards, guidelines and codes of practice to ensure fair trade.

Established as an Indian – Arabic multi-cuisine restaurant in 2010, next to the Gulf Medical University in Al Jurf – Ajman, The Terrace has today emerged as a hotspot of formal and casual dining for people from Ajman and beyond. With a spacious seating capacity of 90 covers and set in a contemporary and delightful ambience of soft colors, The Terrace, besides catering signature multi-cuisines is also specialized in catering mouthwatering Indian and Arabic dishes.
